Fahrenheit 451 Motif Project
This project will count as a MAJOR GRADE.
DUE Date is May 7th
A motif is an image, word, theme, object, phrase, or action that is repeated throughout a work of literature and acts to unify the work.
Choose one motif from the Fahrenheit 451: emptiness, detachment, “Hands”, rebellion, conformity, censorship, fire, paradox, responsibility.
Use a full sized piece of poster board.
Put the name of your motif on the poster board in BOLD letters so that it is easily seen.
On the poster board write every quotation from the novel that you can find that emphasizes your motif. Write every quote word for word and the page number. You must have at least 12 quotes that reference your motif to potentially earn a passing grade. Each part of the book must be represented.
Find and paste magazine or computer pictures that emphasize your motif or draw the pictures if you can do so neatly, using both color and texture. Decorate your poster in other ways so that it has a personality reflecting your motif.
Arrange quotations and pictures in an aesthetically pleasing manner. In other words, make it something that you would be proud to have displayed on the wall.
Your name must be on the back of the poster.
